MNDesign Studio Architecture
MNDesign was founded in 2018 by Maria Doyle (Dipl.-Ing. Architektin) in Berlin. The architecture firm designs and realizes a wide range of architectural and design projects, both in Germany and abroad, with a particular focus on residential buildings as well as cultural and educational projects.
About us
MNDesign specializes in documentation, planning, and building within existing structures – with a particular focus on attic conversions, often complemented by custom-made furniture and refined detailing. The team also designs and realizes single-family homes and small cabins, typically in natural settings where space, light, and landscape blend seamlessly into the architecture. MNDesign also has extensive experience in building documentation, serving as a foundation for planning, execution, or the creation of condominiums.
Documentation
Our documentation services are distinguished by a deep interest in the stories and atmospheres of the buildings and neighborhoods we work with. At times. we combine classical architectural documentation with an immersive approach – incorporating interviews, audio recordings, and soundscapes. This fusion of technical and human elements reflects our passion for architecture, urban spaces, and their inhabitants.
Planning
Our approach to design focuses on creating spaces that are not only functional, but also conducive, enabling people to live, develop and be happy in them. We develop concepts that have built-in flexibility – able to withstand the test of time and accommodate different users and needs.
Realization
Our projects combine precise planning with bespoke design and a strong commitment to sustainability and inclusion. The true life of a building begins once construction is complete. That’s when the design shifts from plans and theory into an active, social, and functional physical space. A well-designed space continues to interact with its users long after completion, becoming part of their lived experience.
